Last night I told you about the flies in winter... the red eyes in the dark. That was December. This is January 14th, 1976. The night the house made us run.
George woke at 3:15. But this time Jodie was at the window. On her hind legs, scratching at the glass. Then the front door tore off its hinges... and the cold poured in like black water.
We left with the clothes on our backs. The car. The boat. Everything we owned... still inside. George went back once. The cold hit him at the doorway like a fist. He never went back in.
Weeks later, Ed and Lorraine Warren walked through our house. They felt it too. Fresh scratches on a bedroom wall, like something with claws had signed its name. They said a darkness lived there.
But the worst came after. At the new house, I woke screaming. Two small red eyes... outside Christopher's bedroom window. Staring in. Jodie had followed us.
So here is my dare. Stitch this if you would spend one night in a house that watched you back. Follow for a new true nightmare every day. Sleep with the lights on... if you can.
Dramatized for the telling. The facts above are documented; the narration is the Draugr’s retelling of them.
